SBI Associate Banks Clerk Exam Syllabus

All candidates will have to appear for the online examination. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online test and interview taken together. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for test or interview.

The test will be online objective type, consisting of
(i) General Awareness
(ii) General English
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iv) Reasoning Ability
(v) Marketing Aptitude /Computer Knowledge.

Each test will be of 40 marks. For these objective type tests of total 200 marks candidates will be given a composite time of 2Hours 15minutes.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
(i) General Awareness:
Current Affairs, Banking, Finance, Sports, General Science, History & Culture, Geography, Polity, Economy, Books and Authors, Awards and Important dates etc.

(ii) General English
Antonyms, Synonyms, Paragraph Questions, Spelling Mistakes, Comprehensions, Sentence Rearrangement, Error Correction, Articles and Prepositions, Active Passive voice, Direct Indirect Speech, Idioms and Phrases.

(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
Number System, Simplifications, Root, Average, Surds and Indices, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Partnership, Chain Rule, Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Time and Distance, Problems on Trains, Boats and Streams, Allegation, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Stocks and Shares, Clocks, Logarithm, Menstruation, Volume and Surface Area, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Heights and Distances, Data interpretation (Line Graphs, Bar Graphs, Pie Charts and Tabulation)

(iv) Reasoning Ability
Verbal Reasoning: Analogy, Coding Decoding, Blood Relation, Sitting Arrangement, Series Completion, Syllogism, Decision Making, Statement Making, Sequence & Series, Alphabet test, Classification, Direction Test, Ranking & Time Sequence Test and Logical Arrangement of Words
Non Verbal Reasoning: Analogy, Series Completion and Classification.

(v) Marketing Aptitude
Marketing Abbreviations, 5 P's of Marketing, Bench Marketing, Drip Marketing, Viral Marketing, Direct Marketing, Indirect Marketing, Digital Marketing, Economy and Finance etc.

Computer Knowledge
Characteristics of Computers, Basic applications of computers, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Input/ Output devices, Computer memory, Concept of Hardware and Software, Classifications of computers, Operating systems and basics of Windows, Internet and networking, MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
