JEE Advanced results: Panchkula boy Sarvesh Mehtani is the topper

The result of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017 was declared and Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh (Panchkula) has obtained the All India Rank (AIR) 1, followed by Pune's Akshat Chugh and Delhi's Ananya Agarwal at the second and third position.

He was ranked 55th in JEE Main entrance examination. Sarvesh now wants to go to IIT-Bombay to pursue a course in computer science.
All those candidates who had appeared for the exam are required to check their respective results at the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will release the category wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates.

Akshat Chugh who ranked second, had obtained the 7th rank in JEE Main 2017
Eastern zone topper
As per the reports, talking about the eastern region, Kolkata's Debaditya Pramanik from Birla High School has claimed the top position and has bagged All India rank 38. He had also secured top position in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) this year and was the state topper in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 examination.
